As part of the contract, Pierce will give the Navy two days of vehicle training.

Pierce Manufacturing, whose parent company is Oshkosh Corp. based in Appleton, Wis., makes fire rescue trucks and also produces commercial pumps, elliptical tankers and minipumpers.

The first winner was a Youngsville, N.C., resident who received $100,000 in March.

Insurance companies announce name changes

Allstate Floridian Insurance Co. and Allstate Floridian Indemnity Co., property insurance subsidiaries of Allstate Insurance Co., announced Friday that their names have been changed to Castle Key Insurance Co. and Castle Key Indemnity Co., respectively.

Nicholas Halliwell, an Allstate spokesman, said customers will soon be notified by mail of the change and their service and coverage will not be affected.

“This will be a seamless transition for our customers,” Halliwell said.

Halliwell said the names were being changed to reinforce the fact that the two companies operate independently of their Allstate parent company.
